Pekhon

Pekhon
Pekhon is a town located on the southern part of the Shan State. It is where the centre of the diocese of Pekhon and where the centre of the township is. It is situated on the mountain 3570 feet above sea level. It is about 100 miles away from Taunggyi, the capital of Shan State. There are 8 outlying catholic villages in the parish. There are a total of 1480 Catholic households with the total Catholic population of 7350 people. 




Mobye
Mobye is a small town located on the Southern part of the Shan State. It is 12 miles from Pekhon and about 100 miles from Taunggyi. It belongs to Pekhon diocese. The local inhabitant ethnic minorities such are Shan, Pa-oh, Kayan, Kayah and Intha. There are 11 outlying Catholic villages in the parish. The number of Catholic household 1600 and the Catholic population is 9380 people. It is one of the parishes that has the largest catholic population.

Nanpolon

The parish of Nanpolon was formally established in 2010. We have five catholic villages in this parish administration and there are 1949 Catholics according to the 2013 statistic figure. Currently two priests are working in this parish.

Kunetha

The parish is located at the village of Lopu Doscii. It is about 46 miles from the diocesan center, and about 18 miles from Deemoso, the closest town.
